AYURVEDA= SCIENCE OF LIFE
DOSHA- that which goes out of practice.
Ayurveda is an ancient healing system which is thought be over 3,000 years old and originated in India.
Ayurveda uses a five-element system, known as the pancha mahabhutas, or the five great elements of life. These are not literal elements but poetic terms for forces of energy.
Earth
Fire
Water
Air
Ether
This can be applied to daily life through Breathwork, yoga asanas and through food and herbs. Crafting simple practices that remedy it.
According to Ayurveda, Doshas are vital energies or bio energies and diagnosis is concerned with assessing which Doshas are in a state of excess of aggravation, and then applying remedies to reduce excess to find balance for the individual.
These doshas are listed below
Pitta
Vata
Kapha
Throughout the year we work with seasonal rhythms and AUTUMN is Vata Season so will be working with slow dynamic movements in our yoga sequence, breathwork and a long dreamy Savasana.
This workshop is designed to help with the aggravated Vata Dosha by creating a little heat and working with the hips and lower back. The workshop will run from 11.00am on Saturday the 26th October and includes a wee treat to take home with you . Places are limited so have to be pre booked with myself and costs £18.

Baby and me Yoga
This 45 minute class is designed especially for new parents and babies and is suitable for babies aged from 6 weeks upwards or 8-10 weeks if born by c section, right up until your baby is crawling. This is a gentle inclusive class suitable for those who are new to yoga and those who have maybe practiced for a long time and are looking to reintroduce gentle movements into their lives. Post natal yoga is great for easing any aches and pains and helping you bond with your baby. It’s a chance to meet other like minded people and helps with your babies physical and mental development too. It’s also been known to help your baby relax and sleep. There is a great cafe within the building so you can also enjoy some time afterwards catching up with the other parents/caregivers.
The classes run in a block of 4 for £30, the space is booked for an hour so you’ll have time to relax after.
